In 2009 Eszter and Emanuel met and soon discovered their mutual interest in helping underserved communities. The sharing of ideas and many visits to Maasai communities eventually lead to the creation of Sidai Designs in 2011.
In 2014, they established Sidai Maasai Women Organization, a nationally registered NGO in Tanzania. Together, they work tirelessly to grow the organization, ensuring its long-term viability.
What’s in the name? Sidai means “good or beautiful” in the Maasai tribal language, Maa.
Their jewellery is entirely handcrafted. Each piece is slightly different and one of a kind.
