AK OBJECTS SINGULIERS

Originally from the south of France, Artist Karine Sebban has lived on the Ile de Ré for 6 years. Her work in ceramics and on canvas is abstract, sometimes figurative around the palm tree that rocked her entire childhood and still so present in her daily life.

She creates a mineral universe, working with clay, lime, tadelakt and concrete to create objects with charm, artistry and love.

She imagines unique and tailor-made pieces.

In her own words.. 'The mineral side of clay bread drives me crazy with creativity and working the material with my hands has become a need that always awakens me a little more. I love the object that alone can set the scene for an atmosphere. Minimalism is a starting point for all my creations to make them unique. The work that I put on each object is always hand-sculpted, shaped and smoothed to bring a hint of soul.'
